Artist's Comments

the crumbling monument of an angel in a cemetary. They're worn, but her features are still clear and you can see her hopeful expression, even as she turns to dust.

Her features tell me a long story of depression, hurt, and anguish. I love how you captured this aging statue. Yet there is still hope in her eyes... maybe because you took her picture? Reminds me of ghosts..

Thank you! This was in a very large cemetary, and I really just kept taking pictures at a constant rate, just to capture half of it. I hadn't even realized how nicely this one had come out until later.

Overall it's nice. But as we see statues everyday, the same way you captured it, the image gets a bit lost. Try to shoot it from beneath or even above. A different view, or even angle on a statue can make us see things we normally never see.

I think the shot would have been better without the green trees in the backround, maybe keep them out of the shot altogether or shoot in black and white. That said, it's a gorgeous shot, definitely some good work!
